The 'Land Girls' and helpers have worked hard to prepare our environmental area for the spring and summer. To help improve the grounds we are now in need of well rotted horse manure, seeds, plants, seedlings and compost. We are still collecting newspapers and plastic bottles. If you are able to donate any of the above we would very much appreciate it.
Reminders
Please note that no dogs are permitted on the school site.
Thank you for your co-operation.Life threatening allergies.
Several children have life threatening allergies relating to nuts and one child an equally severe allergy to milk. The children have been spoken to about the importance of not sharing food and being especially careful about hand washing before and after eating. We would appreciate there being no foods in lunchboxes with any traces of nuts. We encourage the children to bring in a healthy snack for break time. Due to the severity of the allergies, snacks can now only be fruit and vegetables and nothing else. We appreciate your support and help in keeping all the children in our school safe and happy. If you require any further guidance please contact the office staff.ParentMail is in operation. This facility enables parents to receive TEXT and/or EMAIL communications from the school. This system reduces the amount of paper that we send home and also ensures that you are kept fully informed with prompt communications and no stray bits of paper! In urgent situations we can send text messages. This system is particularly beneficial to parents of children using school transport.
To take advantage of this facility you need to register your details with the school. Please contact the school office for a form.Parking Permits - When parking at The Haywain, please display your Bartley Parking Permit. Permits are available from the office.
Nestle Box Tops - Please keep sending in your Nestle Box Top tokens.
Milk Bottle Tops - We are collecting milk bottle tops for The Rose Road Association, a Southampton charity for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties. For every tonne collected, £60 is given to The Rose Road Association. This money helps to provide things like respite care, trips out and specialised equipment for disabled children in the local area. Please bring your bottle tops to the school office. Please ensure that donations include milk bottle tops ONLY. Many Thanks.

We would welcome any help to maintain and develop our recently cleared environmental area. A variety of help is needed such as donation of unwanted items - e.g. wellies etc (Click this link to see more things needed), to actual volunteers to come in and work in the garden. If you are interested (you do not need to be a parent) please contact the School Office. Finally if you are aware of any funding initiatives, or companies etc that could help with funding this area and especially the eco projects please do notify the school.
